Delhi - Haridwar (220 kms)

Pick up from Delhi and transfer to Haridwar, the gateway to the Char Dham. In the evening, visit Har-Ki-Pauri for the sacred Ganga Aarti. Check-in to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Haridwar - Barkot (200 kms)

After breakfast, drive to Barkot, a beautiful hill station in Uttarkashi district. Check-in to hotel and relax. Dinner and overnight stay at Barkot.

Yamunotri Darshan (42 kms + 5 kms Trek)
  • Early morning drive to Jankichatti (42 kms)
  • Trek 5 kms to Yamunotri (on foot, by pony or doli at own cost)
  • Take bath in Jamnabai Kund's hot springs
  • Darshan at Yamunotri Temple
  • Trek back and return to Barkot for overnight stay

Barkot - Uttarkashi (95 kms)

After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi. Enroute visit Prakateswar Mahadev Temple. Upon arrival, visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Check-in to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Gangotri Darshan (100 kms each way)
  • Early morning drive to Gangotri
  • Take holy dip in river Bhagirathi at its origin
  • Darshan at Gangotri Temple, one of the holiest shrines
  • Visit Bhagirath Shila and Pandav Gufa
  • Drive back to Uttarkashi for overnight stay

Uttarkashi - Guptkashi (223 kms)

After breakfast, drive to Guptkashi. Enroute visit Dhari Devi Temple (if time permits). Check-in to hotel, dinner and overnight stay at Guptkashi.

Guptkashi - Kedarnath (35 kms + 22 kms Trek)
  • Early morning drive to Sitapur/Sonprayag
  • Trek 22 kms to Kedarnath (on foot, by pony, doli or helicopter at own cost)
  • Visit Shankaracharya Samadhi behind the temple
  • Attend evening Aarti at Kedarnath Temple
  • Overnight stay at Kedarnath (basic accommodation)

Kedarnath - Guptkashi

Early morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple. Trek down to Sitapur and drive back to Guptkashi. Check-in to hotel for overnight stay.

Guptkashi - Pipalkoti/Joshimath

After breakfast, drive to Pipalkoti/Joshimath. Enroute visit Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag and Nandprayag - the sacred confluences. Check-in to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Badrinath Darshan
  • Morning drive to Badrinath, visit Vishnuprayag enroute
  • Take bath in Tapt Kund (hot springs)
  • Darshan at Badrinath Temple
  • Visit Mana Village - India's last village
  • Visit Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Bhim Pul and Saraswati River origin
  • Return to hotel for overnight stay

Pipalkoti - Rishikesh

After breakfast, drive to Rishikesh. Enroute visit Devprayag (confluence of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi). Visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula. Attend evening Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. Overnight stay at Rishikesh.

Rishikesh - Delhi (250 kms)

After breakfast, depart for Delhi with blessed memories and spiritual experiences. Drop at Delhi. Yatra ends with divine blessings.

Best Time to Visit

The Char Dham Yatra is open from late April/May to October/November. Best months are May, June, September, and early October for pleasant weather.

Trekking Required

Yamunotri (5 kms) and Kedarnath (22 kms) require trekking. Pony, doli, and helicopter services are available at additional cost.

Health Precautions

Carry basic medicines, warm clothing, and stay hydrated. People with serious health conditions should consult a doctor before undertaking this journey.

Documents Required

Carry valid photo ID proof (Aadhar Card/Voter ID/Passport/Driving License) for verification at various checkpoints.

Packing Essentials

Pack warm clothes, rain gear, comfortable trekking shoes, torch, walking stick, sunglasses, sunscreen, and personal toiletries.
